I love books I can read loudly and are easy to change voices for different characters and this is perfect for that! Bea loves it !

My youngest students really liked this, but I surely did not。

Deep in a cave is the Jumperee。 It's big, it's mean, and no one has ever seen it。 The adults can tell what's coming, but the kids will have fun guessing what the Jumperee really looks like。 Deep in a cave is the Jumperee。 It's big, it's mean, and no one has ever seen it。 The adults can tell what's coming, but the kids will have fun guessing what the Jumperee really looks like。 。。。more

Four animals are terrified of the Giant Jumperee who is camped out in Rabbit's burrow。 The book was cute, it teaches that fear before knowledge is often unfounded。 The author wrote the adorable Room on the Broom and the illustrator is responsible for We're Going on a Bear Hunt。 This book, although entertaining and clever, was neither of those childhood classics。 Four animals are terrified of the Giant Jumperee who is camped out in Rabbit's burrow。 The book was cute, it teaches that fear before knowledge is often unfounded。 The author wrote the adorable Room on the Broom and the illustrator is responsible for We're Going on a Bear Hunt。 This book, although entertaining and clever, was neither of those childhood classics。 。。。more

The animals try to help each other to cope with whoever is hiding in their lair。Very nice illustrations。Animaliak elkarri laguntzen saiatzen dira beren gordelekuan ezkutatzen denari aurre egiten。 Oso ilustrazio politak。Los animales se intentan ayudar mutuamente para hacer frente a quien se oculte en su guarida。 Unas ilustraciones muy bonitas。

This was a cute and funny story。 My three-year-old laughed out loud at the end!Rabbit hears a voice coming from inside his burrow and, one by one, other animals from the forest offer to help him get the creature out—but they all get scared。 Until Mama Frog hops along。。。The illustrations were lovely and charming。 I'm glad we snagged this book at random from the library。 This was a cute and funny story。 My three-year-old laughed out loud at the end!Rabbit hears a voice coming from inside his burrow and, one by one, other animals from the forest offer to help him get the creature out—but they all get scared。 Until Mama Frog hops along。。。The illustrations were lovely and charming。 I'm glad we snagged this book at random from the library。 。。。more

This book has a repetitive structure and repeats the same phrases throughout the story。 This would allow for children to read the book by themselves after reading with an adult。 That structure makes this a great story for beginning readers。 The vocabulary that is difficult is also repetitive so children will start to know it。 The characters are all animals that would normally be scary but in this story they are the ones that are scared so I think children would enjoy that aspect of the story as This book has a repetitive structure and repeats the same phrases throughout the story。 This would allow for children to read the book by themselves after reading with an adult。 That structure makes this a great story for beginning readers。 The vocabulary that is difficult is also repetitive so children will start to know it。 The characters are all animals that would normally be scary but in this story they are the ones that are scared so I think children would enjoy that aspect of the story as well。 。。。more

Helen Oxenbury is one of my all-time favorite illustrators。 I delight in everything she has written。 And we typically love Julia Donaldson, but this just didn't hit the spot for us。 Helen Oxenbury is one of my all-time favorite illustrators。 I delight in everything she has written。 And we typically love Julia Donaldson, but this just didn't hit the spot for us。 。。。more

The Giant Jumperee by Julia Donalson。 As I was reading this book, I noticed that the book rhymed as it went through each page after each animal。 The book was about a rabbit going home to his borrow when he hears a loud, intimidating voice coming from the inside。 He goes out to find help from his friend cat。 The cat was also scared and called Bear, but that did not work either, then went to find the elephant。 The Elephant also was frightened, he then went to go find Mama Frog。 She was not afraid The Giant Jumperee by Julia Donalson。 As I was reading this book, I noticed that the book rhymed as it went through each page after each animal。 The book was about a rabbit going home to his borrow when he hears a loud, intimidating voice coming from the inside。 He goes out to find help from his friend cat。 The cat was also scared and called Bear, but that did not work either, then went to find the elephant。 The Elephant also was frightened, he then went to go find Mama Frog。 She was not afraid even after they warned her。 She tells the Giant Jumperee, they have til the count of three to come out。 The baby frog suddenly appears out of the burrow。 The other animals laughed for being so afraid。 I related to it as being scared of the unknown or what could be intimidating until you see for yourself。 。。。more

A very cute story about a "scary" jumperee hiding in rabbit's burrow。 Turns out all the big animals have been fooled by baby frog though。 But a mom always knows! Mama Frog saves the day! My toddler likes all books from Julia Donaldson。 He particularly like this one。 He has all the lines memorized and pretend to read the book himself。 I highly recommend this book。

If you love the Gruffalo, this will quickly become another one of your favorites! In The Giant Jumperee by Julia Donaldson, when rabbit hops up to his hole he is startled by a voice coming from inside the hole。 He then goes to cat to get help but cat was no help。 Then bear and elephant try to help as well but they are also scared off。。。 finally along comes frog。 Frog shows courage and goes into the hole and finds out that the Giant Jumperee isn't giant at all! This is not a book with a lesson in it, but it is a fun book that shows students how to read with punctuation。 This would be a good book to read aloud where the students can see the text and learn how to fluctuate their tone with the punctuation at the end of sentences。

Entertaining, mysterious, and a lot of fun voices to intrigue children could be used。

The Giant Jumperee uses different font layout, different organization of the pictures, and different characters that elevate the story。 Each animal helps out one another trying to solve the main problem。 A lot of different animals are working together that may not be normal, which makes the story unique and exciting。 Watercolor is used for the enormous illustrations that cover the whole page and repetition which is so important for children books。

Just read this to my boyfriend’s niece。 It’s pretty cute and she got it through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library book mail program。
